Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in
a mentoring workshop to enhance your abilities to develop
excellence in diverse trainees.
During Day 1, you will learn evidence-based
approaches to research mentoring from the Entering Mentoring curriculum, which is specifically designed for
research mentors across career stages.
Day 1 agenda.
During Day 2 (optional), in this
Train-the-Trainer session, you will gain the knowledge and
facilitation skills needed to design and deliver mentor
training at your program/institution.

If accepted, participants are expected to:
Enrollment for this workshop is limited to 50 participants.
Priority will be given to requests from individuals who intend to
implement research mentor training workshops at their institution
and to UCLA faculty and staff from bioscience programs/departments.

This training has the potential to increase research
productivity that comes from improved well-being (especially mental
wellbeing) of lab members, which leads to the reduction of
interpersonal conflicts that draw attention away from research. It
is our view that excellence in mentoring leads to a virtuous cycle
of enhancing mentoring over time as generations of trainees learn
