The Diversity Program Consortium (DPC) was highlighted in a recent blog post from the NIH Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity (COSWD). The DPC is an initiative by the National Institutes of Health “designed to test the effectiveness of interventions in promoting inclusivity throughout the biomedical research enterprise.”
Managed by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) and supported by the COSWD, the DPC has made progress in developing scientific talent since it was established in 2014. Over the last eight years, members of the DPC have trained and enriched students, postdocs and faculty at institutions across the country, with the goal of developing biomedical research capacity.
Read more about the DPC and what to expect looking to the future in the blog post here, authored by Marie A. Bernard, MD, and Alison Gammie, PhD.
