The DPC will miss Dr. Rafael E. Luna, who is stepping down from his position as the Contact PI and Executive Director of the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN), as well as the PI of the Administrative Core for NRMN. Dr. Luna accepted a position at Boston College that has two roles: Associate Dean in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences, and Director of the Pre-Health Program. His new position starts January 2, 2018. During his time with NRMN, Dr. Luna worked closely with the Leadership Team and Key Personnel supporting NRMN’s efforts to reach mentees and mentors on a national level. The NRMN Leadership Team has implemented a continuity plan, wherein Dr. Christine Pfund will serve as the Contact PI for NRMN, in addition to her current position within the NRMN Leadership Team. We congratulate Rafael on his new position and thank him for his role in supporting the mission of NRMN and the DPC. We wish him all the best at Boston College!
