SF BUILD Faculty Agent of Change Wins Teaching Award

Federico Ardila, Ph.D., was presented the award for Teaching Excellence at the opening convocation for San Francisco State University on August 21, 2017. Dr. Ardila is a Professor of Mathematics and a Faculty Agent of Change who wrote an SF BUILD-acknowledged article entitled, Todos Cuentan (Everyone Counts): Cultivating Diversity in Combinatorics in 2016. This year his all-university teaching award was presented with live footage of the solar eclipse in the background. Adding to the auspiciousness of the moment, Dr. Ardila is committed to “build(ing) mathematical environments that welcome every interested participant.” http://math.sfsu.edu/federico/
