  • Webinar: 12 p.m. ET on May 15—Join the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) to provide feedback on draft guiding principles to prevent or mitigate bias related to healthcare algorithms that affect racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare.   • Celebrating Heritage—Join the NIH Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) as it celebrates Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) Heritage Month from May 1 to 31. Read about this year’s campaign themed “Reclaiming My Identity” on the EDI website


  • Summer Conference: June 12 and 13—Join Accelerating Systemic Change Network and the Network of STEM Education Centers for the 2023 Transforming Institutions Conference. The theme of the two-day, in-person event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is “Thriving with Change,” and will focus on the theory and practice of systemic change in STEM higher education.   • Apply Now—Científico Latino is accepting applications through June 15 for its Graduate School Mentorship Initiative (GSMI) program, which aims to help graduate school applicants from minoritized backgrounds by pairing them with STEM professionals in their respective STEM disciplines.
